hey there!

Ever want to go to Cabo San Lucas?!?

Book that trip now!!

I have always wanted to go to Cabo, but my husband was a firm NO. There were so many other places he wanted to go first that Cabo was not top priority.

I just knew though, that I needed to be there, so I do what I do best and I MANIFESTED it!

As an influencer, one of the companies I rep, has an awesome incentive trip every year and this year’s was to… you guessed it… CABO!!

Getting to Cabo, from the East coast was fairly easy. There was a direct flight on my favorite airline, Jet Blue.

Make sure you have a pen on hand, as you have to fill out paperwork, one per family before you enter the country. Cabo has a fast pass through customs, which we usually get, but this time we didn’t and impressively the lines moved pretty fast. We got through both custom stops in about 15 minutes, but it’s the first week of January, so during high season I would recommend the fast pass.

We stayed at the Paradisus which is a property of the Melia brand.

Upon arrival, my first impression was simple but nice, clean.

We were welcomed by a friendly concierge who helped us with an upgrade.

We started with an ocean view room, which was ok. For those who don’t travel often, and I say this with the highest respect, you will most likely be very happy with this room. For my high end luxe travelers, the upgraded reserve ocean view may not be enough.

The room had a king size, with a sitting area and a balcony. The bathroom had a jungle vibe with a shower, no tub and the room had a fully stocked mini bar and snacks for free, which was awesome!

This upgrade was a part of their reserve package which included a private concierge, access to different restaurants and also premium liquor.

As I said, we didn’t love this room, so I went and worked some magic at the front desk. There were no upgrades available partially because of a staffing issue to turn over the rooms. With an offer to take care of housekeeping we were offered a master king suite which had a living room with a huge walk-in closet, a soaking tub facing the ocean, 2 balconies and a huge sitting area in the bedroom!

Now this was our kind of room and shifted everything!

Ocean front breathtaking views!

I must say, the Paradisus gets a 5 star rating for service. Granted we are heavy on tipping, but a little green goes a long way, if you are in the mood for high level pamper service. The staff was running to serve us!

The pool area was nice and big with lots of cabanas. Cabanas need to be reserved the day before and you lose them if you don’t claim them by 11am.

There is a separate adults only pool area for reserve guests as well.

Paradisus is transitioning into adults only fully, however we still saw lots of kids there, so the transition period is still in turn over.

The beach was rocky, but walkable. The cabanas were first come, first serve. There were a couple of VIP cabanas in which we were able to enjoy.

On the beach peddlers will offer you hats, trinkets, cover ups, sunglasses… There’s horseback riding which we really enjoyed on the beach, riding into the sunset.

And the whales!! OMG!! The whale watching was insane!

Apparently it is the migrating season for the whales from November to February. They gathered in the sea area where we were and it was absolutely magical.

Overall, the food was pretty delicious. While the menus were very well labeled, they were not too accommodating for gluten and dairy free, so if you have a sweet tooth or like to snack on more than guac and chips, I suggest you bring some along.

The property has a beautiful spa and gym. I got a massage and a blow out and really enjoyed it. The prices are on the higher side, but worth it for the services I received. My husband on the other hand didn’t love his massage.

Since this was an all inclusive property there was a coffee shop, ice cream shop, a food truck, and several different restaurant options to choose from. I can’t say anything bad about the food other than, I wish there were more GF options for dessert! But the property had bowls of fresh fruit in the gym, coffee shop and at every buffet, plus there was room service!

Overall, I would give the Paradisus, Los Cabos a 4 out of 5 stars! I will definitely be back!
