You have to give in order to receive. We tend to live in a state of “What am I getting?” That’s how most people are living. You go to work and you get a paycheck. You are in a relationship and you get love. We’re always looking to receive, but we don’t give enough. The first thing that I want you to work on is a practice of sharing and giving. That could be in a monetary form, volunteering, or just being of service. That’s my motto in life, when I’m in need I am of service and whenever I see that I could be helpful or useful to somebody, that’s when I step forward.
On social media, speak when you are spoken to. Don’t just speak because you feel the need to get your word out. I really try to focus now, I realize that every single post that I see doesn’t need a response from me, but when I feel that I could be of service to somebody, that’s when I step forward.
When you go to the supermarket and they ask you to donate a dollar to whatever charity and you don’t want to do it, I challenge you to do it. Give them that dollar. You may say to me, “Oh, but that’s my last dollar.” That’s a poor man’s mindset. You need to get yourself in a millionaire mindset if you want to attract wealth. When we give we receive. Money is energy, just like anything else. 100 years ago when there was no cars, gas and electric etc, they weren’t exchanging money, they were exchanging energy, right?
Money is energy. It’s not supposed to be hoarded, but most of us come from these mindsets and these cultural backgrounds where we feel like we have to hold onto this stuff. We have to save, we have to save, we have to save. I’m not telling you to go spend your last dollar, but when we give we receive.
