Attitude of Gratitude
Attitude of gratitude. It’s the way that you have to be. I mean, that is it. If you could just wake up every day and start your day with I am grateful that I am alive, I am grateful that I slept in a bed, I am grateful I had clean sheets, I am grateful I had water to shower with, I am grateful … You just really have to hone in on the gratitude practice. When you are in an attitude of gratitude you align yourself with whatever you want and need.
A few weeks ago, I went to Gabby Bernstein’s “Spirit Junkie Masterclass.” I walked into my hotel room and the hotel room had this funky smell and I thought, “Wow, I really need a candle.” I went to check in for the event and I got my swag bag and the first thing I saw in there was a candle. That was the universe’s way of telling me you’re exactly where you need to be, you should be here right now, and here you go. This is something that you need. The next day, I went back to my room and that night I was fired up to do a bunch of work and I had all these little SD cards from some of the events that we’ve been doing and needed to label them. I look over to my left and there was this whole little workstation with Post-It notes and paper clips and everything that I needed. I mean, when was the last time you checked into a hotel room that had Post-It notes and paper clips? In all my years of traveling, I’ve never had a hotel room that was like that, but I was just perfectly set up. The magic that I created on Saturday night for the stuff that I’m doing and my creative process was amazing.
So when you live in an attitude of gratitude and you’re constantly in a state of positivity, the entire universe lines you up for exactly what you need. You’re always on the right track. In my book “31 Days of Gratitude- Create the Life you Desire,” that’s the practice and discipline that I’m teaching. Gratitude is a discipline. I have added being disciplined into my gratitude practice and I’ve seen such changes and shifts! We need to realize that no matter how off we are or how bad life seems, this is a gift. Gratitude is a gift.
Right now is a total, total gift! You are alive, you are breathing, whether you’re healthy or not, that’s a different story. You can get yourself to get that health. Whatever it is that you’re going through right now, heartache, depression, anxiety, a loss of some sort. We can get you through that. It’s a moment in time and every moment passes. When you hone in on this attitude of gratitude, you really start to control your reaction and emotion and stuff just won’t bother you anymore.
