Anxiety Relief With Acupuncture
When people think of acupuncture, most think of pain relief. However, there are literally thousands of conditions that acupuncture can treat and help people feel at their best.
At Shilamida Acupuncture and Wellness, I specialize in treating conditions such as: depression, anxiety, stress reduction, headaches, migraines, and fertility.
While some people probably have anxiety thinking about acupuncture, t the reality is, once you get past the fear ofneedles, acupuncture will prove to be physically calming and relaxing!
When we have disease, pain, mental or emotional disruption, it is because there is something within the body that is stuck. Whether it is blood, body fluids, or Qi (universal energy), there is some kind of block that is causing this dis - ease to occur.
When you receive acupuncture treatment, tiny needles are placed all over your body to get your flow back to homeostasis - or where we were when we were birthed here. Acupunctureb puts the body into a state of relaxation, a lot of patients even fall asleep! Yup! They actually fall asleep.
By putting your body into a relaxed state and shifting the energy, your body remembers how to heal ITSELF. It unblocks your energy so that it can flow to the places that need it most. You know what to say…. It’s just disconnected by leaving it out here. It needs to connect back to the DIS - EASE.
Some things to consider:
Acupuncture needles are tiny, they don’t hurt. These needles are not vaccine, diabetic or IVF needles. Acupuncture needles are small, minute needles that you have to focus on to see. In Japanese style acupuncture, the approach is very gentle so when you are laying on a table you don't even know there are needles being used.
Acupuncture is a connection. If you’ve tried it before and did not get a good result, try again with someone new. You may not have been fully comfortable with the person you were with. Not all acupuncturists are created equal. We come from different schools and we practice different styles.
It is the safest, non-invasive, non-medicating way of getting treatment to help any of your ailments.
Acupuncture is cumulative, so one treatment will not be a quick fix. I always suggest that patients be prepared for 6-8 weeks of weekly treatments in order to see a long lasting shift. Then, get maintenance treatments, as needed.
I have seen great success of people coming off of life-long meds with the support of acupuncture. If it’s something that you are interested in, inquire now. This is your time to live your healthiest!
