The Power of Prayer and The Importance of Giving

The Power of Prayer and The Importance of Giving

I write this blog after I saw a news headline that Hurricane Irma went from a Category 5, down to a Category 2. Wow! 3 categories. Is it a coincidence? If you are well into your spiritual work you know that there are no such things as coincidences. If we break down the word you have “co” and “incidence”; ‘co’ meaning – more than one, and ‘incidence’ is an occurrence of thought.

Has it ever happened to you? Where you think of a person and all of a sudden your phone rings or you get a text message from them? Of course it does and this is happening with all of your thoughts, it’s just not so obvious so you are not catching it.

So there is no doubt in my mind, that every prayer chain, meditation and thought that I have been a part of to slow down Hurricane Irma has actually worked! Manifestations occur when there is enough positive thought to outweigh the negative. So if there were more of us focused on love, light and safety then the unknown, the what ifs and the fear than we can shift the universal energy into peace, calm and safety.

Being a part of a collective group manifestation or meditation is a free act of giving. It is so easy to take a moment close your eyes, breathe a few breaths and send love, light and healing into the world. Not only are you acting from the place of a healer or hero you are also summoning the law of attraction; the law in which like attracts like.

So if you are putting love and light into the world in a time of tragedy, that is what you will be returned, love and light. If you are worrying about what’s going to happen, how bad is the destruction, sad, depressed that is what you are attracting, more worry, more what ifs, more sadness.

When working the law of attraction our thought pattern has to be more positive than negative. The way to do is it to stop complaining, be grateful and share or give any chance you get! Simple things like opening a door for someone, stopping so a pedestrian can cross the road, helping someone with their groceries, giving that $1 at the drugstore counter, donating to the girl scouts, the fireman or whoever else is shaking a can! The more that you give, the more that you will receive. It works the same on every single level. I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of beautiful random gifts and acts of kindness I have received this year. What makes a day better than that? The thought that someone would go out of their way to make your day a little brighter.

You can start right now by sending love and light into the world. Text message some friends, old acquaintances and send them love and light and blessings. Every person you see today you can quietly bless. And give! Any chance you get!

I am super excited to attend an amazing event this Thursday night. As a part of my giving, I am a sponsor for the Sunset 2 Sunrise Charity Event this Thursday in Hawthorne, NJ. This great organization benefits women struggling with the stigma and outcomes of divorce. There are still some tickets left but they are sure to sell out so support this great cause and register now to attend!

I am so grateful that I am at the point in my life where I can support great causes. I am grateful I am given the opportunity to share. I am grateful for the power of prayer. I am grateful for the tribe that vibes with me. I am grateful for this path. I am grateful for life! I am grateful for opportunities to grow. I am grateful for sharing.
